2005... a brand new year!!!
I trust you and your loved ones have had a wonderful Christmas and new year break...as for me... I am privileged to be back in the "land of my birth" and had a very special Christmas with my two brothers and their families at the beach...it's summer here in South Africa, with incredibly hot weather. so "outdoor living" is certainly the order of the day...with doors kept wide open!!!
Talking of doors...these last few days I have been looking at
Psalm 24
The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the waters.
Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ?
Who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol
or swear by what is false.
He will receive blessing from the LORD
and vindication from God his Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, O God of Jacob.
Lift up your heads, O you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.

lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory?
The LORD Almighty-
he is the King of glory.

I have been so impressed by the cry of David that we lift up our heads... to see from a different perspective and... that we open up the ancient doors of our hearts to receive in a new way the precious King of glory... for His glory is His goodness!!!
I am on sabbatical for till the end of June and one of the desires is that this would be a season of seeing the new vistas Jesus would show me and that my whole being would resound with the King of Glory being in the house!!!
I certainly am needing more of Him and less of me
