I have just returned from an amazing 3 weeks in the land of my birth, South Africa and one of the hallmarks of this trip was the kindness of God… in so many ways…both big and small
- knowing that there were a friends praying with me all the way!
- excellent flights…even being upgraded to business class on the long-haul flight home!
- meeting with champions who are doing remarkable things to see His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven
- knowing Gods closeness and wisdom every time I spoke or sang
- praying for people as they invited Jesus into their hearts
- staying with dear friends who lavishly spoilt me!
- some stunning sunrises and sunsets
- the call of the fish eagle
- lots of laughter!!
… the list goes on…
each day I was in South Africa,Psalm 118:24 was my prayer
“This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it”
This morning I was answering an e-mail from a friend and signed off with “have a great day!” and was once more reminded of
Psalm 118 :24 again …“This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it”
What a joy to know He has made each day and is committed to show himself strong on my behalf today!...Even through the hard things that may come my way. I can be confident that God’s love and wisdom is with me… no matter what – and that today is filled with opportunities to grow in faith, trust and love
Things may not seem that “great” on days BUT I can be grateful for whatever comes my way and even choose to rejoice because – this is the day that the Lord has made…. And I can have this great confidence… no matter what…GOD IS IN CONTROL!
