This month has been a full and fulfilling one for me...the absolute highlight was spending a week in Chicago with my mentor Barbara and her husband.

I see how critical it is to have people, who, we give access to our lives. for them to ask questions, demand from us honest answers and know that through all the conversations we are safe and loved... and she is such a person in my life...a gift from heaven... but at the same time someone who teaches me how to keep my feet firmly on terra - firma!!!

While I was out there I was asked to share how I became a Christian and as I started to tell my story I suddenly found myself being impacted afresh by two things... Jesus knows me...and I know Him.
Well, in an instant I was reduced to tears... actually more like deep sobs of gratitude and grace... "YES... JESUS LOVES ME"... no matter what...HE LOVES ME... simple and yet so profound!

And...
HE LOVES YOU

I really do pray that over this Christmas time with all the manic buying of presents...eating and drinking far too much with family and friends we would take the time to remember... "Meekness and Majesty"... and come with our hearts to bow again and offer ourselves afresh to this One who loves us

... this photo was taken when I spoke at an event earlier this year...the dear folk sat me on the "throne" draped me in gold cloth and put a crown on my head...by my expression you can see how awkward I felt... but now...bring it on!!!!
