I have just returned from leading worship at Living Water in Norwich - and what an awesome privilege that was!!!
I had a delightful group of worshippers from Manchester come and join me and what was so precious was their hearts of love for JESUS..even though they were incredible musicians the main passion in their hearts was not so much making music but worshipping Jesus and each night as we led the worship it was so awesome to know and experience the presence of Holy Spirit leading us all to the throne-room of God and then watching how hundreds of people responded to Father and how Father responded back to them...KINDNESS
Just before I left for Norwich I spent an evening with my Spiritual Director and was talking through how,in the business of life,to still maintain ensure God is at the centre of all I am and all I do. Stef,challenged me to pray a very simple prayer daily...to pray it thoughtfully and slowly and to allow each phrase to not only fill my mouth but fill my mind and fill my heart.
I have diligently been saying this prayer and in all honesty have felt such an incredible expansion of heart...and a fresh realization that it's not loads of wordy prayers that God is wanting from us but rather a simple surrender and a deeper awareness of Him
And the prayer...
just simply
YOU are in this room
YOUR presence fills it
YOUR presence is LOVE
and then waiting for...and receiving and hearing Him say...
I am in this room
My presence fills it
My presence is LOVE
I have different words in place of LOVE for different days
Sunday - JOY
Monday - LIFE
Tuesday - POWER
Wednesday - LIGHT AND WISDOM
Thursday - LOVE
Friday - PURITY
Saturday - PEACE
