How true the statement is “ time flies when you are having fun” and my goodness, this last month has been filled with fun… sometimes quite tough and tiring but, great fun!
I know the word “fun” sounds so strange… so looked it up in the thesaurus and loved some of the related words…. enjoyable, interesting, compelling, engaging and gripping to name a few.
As I have mentioned quite often over the last few months, the words “High Adventure” have certainly been part of my life and after 18 years living in Southampton I am moving to Manchester in June!
This has been an incredible journey… from a conversation with my friends Lee and Debra, up in Manchester, way back in January where as we were sipping our after dinner coffee I felt God say to me “time to move…time to dream new dreams”… I had no doubt whatsoever this was a God moment and I have learnt over the years that when God speaks the best way forward is summed up in two words “yes Lord”.
So… since that meeting mid January I sold my flat down here in Southampton (in just nine days) and am in the process of buying a new home in the south Manchester area. One of the requests I had was a garden and I have two.. one in the back and one in the front!!
God has so supernaturally supplied the finances for this new home and it has made me so aware of how lavish and kind my Father is… and also motivated me to pay this forward and be a blessing to others.
I once heard someone say “we are blessed to bless”
This month… lets look for ways to bless those in the world around us… in the little things…how about thinking of 5 simple ways you could bless people in your world… and drop me a quick e-mail and let me know!!!
My 5 are:
- say hello to people while I'm out walking
- be kind to however serves me in a restaurant
- pray for my neighbour
- buy my friend some flowers
- make a meal for the old lady who lives in my block of flats!
Numbers 6:24 -26 [NLT]
‘May the Lord bless you and protect you.May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you.May the Lord show you his favour and give you his peace.’
… have fun!
