This coming Friday I move to Manchester...After living in Southampton for 18years it's time to move on!
This afternoon I heard from my solicitor that the "exchange" had taken place...for those not familiar with UK practice this is when contracts are signed and exchanged between myself and the people whose home I am buying...and then on Friday the "completion" takes place and I get the keys!!!
This morning I was reading this scripture : Deuteronomy 11:11-12
"The land you are to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drink rain from heaven. It is a land your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to it's end".
...and felt an excitement rise in me as I realised even more "high adventure" lies ahead and that no matter what challenges I may face GOD IS WITH ME... in both the valleys and the mountains... He Cares
Someone gave me this poem a while back and it pretty much sums it all up!!!
He leads us on paths we did not know;
Upward He leads us, though our steps be slow
Though oft we faint and falter on the way,
Though storms and darkness oft obscure the day;
Yet when the clouds are gone,
We know He leads us on.
He leads us on through all the unquiet years;
Past all our dreamland hopes, and doubts and fears,
He guides our steps, through all the tangled maze
Of losses, sorrows, and o'er clouded days;
We know His will is done;
And still He leads us
These last few days in Southampton are a flurry of goodbyes and packing and although there is some sadness in finishing a chapter I find myself standing on tip-toe of expectation as I start a new one...and one thing holds me steady
He is leading me!!!
