Greetings from the USA!!

These past 2 weeks I have been in North Carolina…when I arrived I was so thrilled that the weather was so brilliant – LOTS of sunshine!! – but after a few days of being here and taking a closer look at the landscape and chatting with friends I realised that all was not so “brilliant” as I imagined and that this area was really suffering from a drought and the water levels were at a precarious level.

RAIN was sorely needed!!

…it got me thinking to how vital the Rain of the Spirit is in my life…and without it the outside may look “brilliant” but without “Heavens Rain”… I’m in a serious place.
I found myself coming before Father and asking for fresh Rain…that my life would not be a dry and barren place but would be one where the water levels are high…that I am alive and flourishing and that out of me would flow Rivers of Living Water.

Well… I began to pray…first for the clouds to gather – and had to laugh at myself sometimes as I was so calling on God to gather the clouds and pointing at the heavens that an onlooker could have thought I was trying to work on a rain dance! [for those who know me – dance is definitely not a strong point!]
… the clouds began to gather
...as I began to experience it internally so Father allowed me to see it with my natural eye
… and then late last week
…rain
... and masses of it!!!
and no one complained about getting wet!!!!

This last Sunday, at the morning meeting, we sang the Delirious? song “Rain Down” ..and the anthem of praise was lifted high… the drought is over!!!

“Looks like tonight, the sky is heavy
Feels like the winds are gonna change
Beneath my feet, the earth is ready
I know its time for heaven's rain, it's gonna rain
It's gonna rain, again
Cos it's living water we desire
To flood out hearts with holy fire
Rain down all around the world we're singing
Rain down can you hear the earth is singing
Rain down my heart is dry but still I'm singing
Rain down rain it down on me.
Back to the start, my heart is heavy
Feels like it's time, to dream again
I see the clouds, and yes I'm ready
To dance upon this barren land
Hope in my hands
Do not shut,
Do not shut,
Do not shut the heavens
But open up, open up, open up our hearts
Give me strength to cross the water
Keep my heart upon Your altar
Give me strength to cross this water
Keep my feet don’t let me falter”

Lets be praying for Fresh Rain from Heaven in this next while
….people are dry and needing Jesus!
