I’M HOME!!! – what a wonderful place to be… I love all the adventures and privileges I have in Gods commission on my life to go out to my Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the world, but, there is nothing quite like coming home.

The joy of being in a place that is familiar…that is filled with bits and bobs that make up my memories…from paintings and photos that friends and family have given me…to my special bedroom that has my new bed and bed linen to my kitchen filled with the gadgets that I’ve collected over the years and all the other rooms and my wonderful garden with all my blossoming plants…

all this …that makes up my home.

What a gift from God!!!... and yet I still feel with all this blessing that is so important for me to hold all this lightly…and getting back home I had a fresh reminder when a dear friend of mines mother died suddenly…and as I prayed for him and his family I was once more reminded of a Greater Home awaiting us who love Jesus…a place He is preparing for us and will one day give to us…a place that will be just as familiar and so secure…eternal.

I realise afresh how important it is to always keep my eternal HOME in my sights…

Jesus reminds us...

"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God; trust also in me.
In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I am going there to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
You know the way to the place where I am going."
John 14 : 1-4

What a hope and a future we have – HOME

…but for now…I’m going to go into my garden and put down some slug pellets!!!
